Crash of WD15EARS

Hello. Yesterday started having problems with the disk WD15EARS-00Z5B1, 1,5 Tb.The operating system refused to work properly. Recovery to any of the selected pointsare also not held properly, after reboot message appeared (and about NitroPDF I saw only the admin and the “official communication”, issued after a reboot, only contain the code).

Hi,

What draws my attention is the Raw Data fields for 197 Current pending sectors and 198 Offline Uncorrectable Sector Count. Edit: non-zero values here are consistent with the CHKDSK errors about “unreadable sector”. On both my disks the raw is zero. Sure, the “Value” for these is a pristine 200, but the raw data figures are more compelling. When my old disk was throwing bad sectors, these showed up against 197.

Suggest a slow reformat of this drive in the first instance, that may solve it.
