I was sold the ‘My Passport Essential’ external hard drive after telling the assistant I wanted something that would copy my films off the virgin HD box. She said this will definitely do the job. Can anyone tell me how? As I get the virgin box saying it is copying but nothing appears on my ex hard drive.

If you don’t have the autoplay option to install WD Smartware then access the drive ( Start > Computer > My Passport ) double click on WD Smartware ( the file with the blue icon ) and select install WD Smartware, after doing that you will have the start backup button and done… the backup will begin
After the first backup is completed everytime you add new files on the computer they will be backed up automaticly .-
