Copying files to my other computer

I am about to move between countries and a new computer . I have backed up my files on My Passport Ultra… Can I use My passport ultra to also COPY the contents of my HD, using it as an external Hard drive?

Thank you. Well, I have certainly made a backup of the HD, but I just wasn’t sure if I could do a direct copy, which is somewhat different.
