Copying files over 5GB to My Book Live 3TB

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to transfer files over 5GB over my network to my NAS drive?

If so, how do you do it.

Also, can I copy files quicker than wirelessly over the network? My drive does not have a USB port so could I hard wire the drive to my laptop with an Ethernet cable?

the theoretical file size limitation of Ext4 file system is 16 TB per file.

Use Ethernet cable, not WiFi - with Wifi you can expect throughput rates below 10 Megabyte/s.
