Copying files from PC to WD TV Live

Hi

I cannot use my external drive.

  • I have some USB links between my PC and the external drive,

  • I try to use WD Link, but when I click on “customize” it opens a web window asking for a password that has not been provided to me.

Could you help ?

Hi, try using admin as the password.

just enter this in the “Search” box after you click START (in Windows 7 and Vista, that is.)

\wdtvlive\

(if you renamed your WDTV to something else, use that name instead.)

Thank you both for your answer ; now it works.

I have another question if I may : how can I access my WD from outside home ?

  • when I use WD Link, it does not find it

  • and when I go through windows explorer, it cannot connect …

You can’t.
