Copy Speed

I have purchased 4TB HDD.

I am able to access it as a Network storage after login into the WD app and copy files using my Windows 11. However, the speed is very slow.

How can I increase the speed of copying the files into this disk and from this disk to my Windows 11 system.

Thanks in advance.

Have you been to the WD web site and checked to see what the read/write speed is for the HD you purchased?

You posted your topic under the sub-topic for the My Cloud Home.

Copy process is dependent on the slowest link; in this case, the read/write speed for the HDD.

Other examples: if you were copying via USB port, it may be because of a USB2.0, 3.0, 3.1 difference that could increase speed. Don’t know where you’re copying from so I gave this as a potential problem.
