Copy files in restart mode

I have a MyBook USB drive that is slowing dying.  It fails the spin up test and I’d like to get my files off of the drive.  Some of the video files are rather large, ranging from 4 gb to 12 gb.  I was able to copy the 4 gb files, however, when I try the 12 gb, they will fail after copying about 45%.    After this, the drive will not respond.  If I remove power and let it sit for a bit, I can copy again, but will do the same.

Does anyone have a suggestion?  I’m thinking if I can use a copy program that will restart from where the copy failed, I may be able to recover all of my files.

Thanks.
