Copy file to Esternal USB attached to the MyBookLiveDUo

How can I copy files to a USB disk connected to the MyBookLiveDUo without using a PC? Is there anything similar to the “copy manager” of the My Book Live?

Thanks

The files can be copied to the USB share that will appear on the network when the drive is connected.

You can map the USB share if you use Windows.

You’ll have to do it via SSH.

Hey Tony,

I would be very interested in a brief rundown of the SSH procedures/commands for doing a copy directly to a USB share, without transitting the network. I’m pretty far from any Linux experience I had in the past, though I understand basic commands. I’m not so sure of the file structure of the MBLD and how to direct a copy operation.

Any suggestions (or pointers to information sources) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much, I enabled the SSH and I saw that there is also rsync inside, I’ll try to use that.
