Copy and Paste Issues

Hi, I just recently purchased a 2TB WDMyCloud and for the most part, everything is running smooth. I do however, seem to have the following issue:

I seem to be able to copy files on to the MyCloud without any problems; however, whenever I want to copy files from the NAS to my desktop, I get the following error message: Error 0x8007003A: The server can not execute the operation. This also happens when I want to move/cut files from one folder to another within the NAS. 

What’s weirder is that these problems go away if I use the WDMyCloud desktop software. 

I am running Windows Vista and don’t think I have any permission issues.

Did you map shares as network drives?

No I haven’t mapped any shares as drives, is that something I should be doing?
