Converting box into stupid drive?

This software is so bad its totally worthless.

Is there a way to back at least some of my hard earned money and convert the box into just another stupid usb drive?

Or with the firmward mucking up the mess will I be better off removing the drive and putting it in another external case?

if you’re talking about the smartware on the drive, you can get rid of it and use the drive as just a usb drive.  Check the link out below.

It is not necessat that you have to use the smart ware to use the drive, you can manually drag and drop the data on the external hard drive and stop bothering about the backup software.
