Need help!
It would seem as though the WD HD is running for long periods of time and using between 50 -70% of the CPU. Why is this and how can this amount of usage be slowed down or eliminated?
I am running on xp os SP3.

Same thing happens on my 3tb unit, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Made my wife’s laptop unsuable. I uninstalled the WD software, and am now using the free Microsoft Sync Toy (just google it), and scheduling a sync at a specified time. Works great.
