Hi,

I have a WD external disk and use a Mac.  I had about 400 films (legal … all ripped from legal DVDs).  My flatmate wanted to watch a film and uses a PC (Microsoft not Mac).  She was not able to access the films and downloaded software and still was not able to see the contents of the disk on her PC.  I now have tried to access the films on my Mac but can’t find them.  I suspect that she must have reformatted the disk without knowing.  I am hoping this is not the case.

By default, Microsoft Windows can not interact with volumes formatted for Apple Mac OS systems, and the device may have been formatted. I would recommend performing data recovery by means of applications and utilities available online.
