Content Scan "ERROR"

Recently within the last couple months I have developed a frequently switching content scan “ERROR” and “IDLE”. Happens every couple minutes and can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes before it switches back.
I tried a reboot several times. Stop services: Remote Access & DLNA Media Services. Also tried a Content database rebuild with no luck.

I haven’t really liked this drive from the beginning. I thought it would be great to have it accessible on the network but it’s been more of a pain than a benefit.

Is this unit done? garbage?

One also may want to check for special characters in file names too as a troubleshooting step.
