my wd3200d032-000,  500gb, is it compatable with windows 7 64 bit, don’t want too go to all the hassel and it will not work

All drive should be compatible with Win7.  You have to re-format to NTFS, but FAT32 format also works in Win 7.

If you mean by not compatible with Win7 & SW that came with, possibly.
