Connection hdmi with dvi TV?

I try to connect  my wd tv  with the hdmi cable to my  DVI  from my TV, but do not work??? No signal he says.

Question is this uberhaupt possible.

Have you tried contacting WD’s Technical Support about this? You can do so either by phone or email.

We apologize for any confusion that this issue may be causing you.

The WDTV Live does not support HDMI to DVI converters.  The WDTV Live unit requires a handshake to take place.  This “handshake” takes place when using HDMI to HDMI and activates the HDMI port on the Live unit.  Because DVI does not support the required HDMI communication you will not receive a signal and the HDMI port will not activate.

You may receive support HDMI to DVI converters, in future versions of the firmware? It is not difficult.
