Is there a way to reconnect USB Disk drive or pen drive without disconnecting/reconnecting them physically. Like a command via ssh to rescan the devices ???

As far as i know, another way you can do this is by restarting the device, but this wont be very useful when trying to mount the USB drive on the device. You can suggest this option on the ideas board:
