Connecting MyBookLive with Laptop

Hi, I would like to ask how could i connect and setup My Book Live directly to a laptop. Can i do it with a LAN cable?

I have tried searching, static IP. But i couldn’t get it to work.

I am hoping to being able to access MyBookLive folder like a shared folder.

You bought a NAS.  (NETWORK-Attached Storage.)  If you want to use it like a USB disk, buy a USB disk.

But to answer your question, yes, you can do that, but you need to know how to configure your PC to connect to it as well.
