Connecting my passport to my TV?

I have an Orion HD TV and I am trying to connect my passport to my TV. I can get it connected however I can’t get it to play any of my movies or shows off of it. I tried looking up “how to connect my passport to Orion TV” and it said I needed to format my passport to FAT/128 kb clusters. I have no clue how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.
