Connect WD My Cloud with Synology DS213j

Hello,

I wonder how I can make transfers from my server Synology DS213j for WD My Cloud directly without going through the computer.

As if the two servers were connected directly.

Also wanted to know if I can do the WD My Cloud backup from Synology?

You would have to use Linux admin commands through the SSH interface to do that.

I am not sure “doing the WD backup *from* Synology” means.

Hello,

I’m trying mount remote folder from WD my cloud. But it gives the following error:

Failed to connect to the remote folder. Please make sure the remote server is accessible via CIFS protocol.

I searched the net and found that wd my cloud supports SMB / CIFS.

What can be the problem?
