I want to access utube
and
Watch dvd iso files and music which is on my computor, which connects wirelessly to router.
i bought a usb netgear wn111v2
plugged it in, pwered down and switch on again
The tv screen shows settins/ network setting (that brings network setup OR check connection)
I expected to see a list of wirless access points including my router, but this doesnt happen
Going into network setup gives a ccreen unable to obtain an ip address the media player has limited or no network connectivity
Can anyone help please

The version approved has no version number so your version 2 may not work. (different chipset?)
You could try updating your firmware or / and resetting your unit and then trying again
Do you actually see a wireless setup page. Is the led flashing on the adaptor.

The blue wireless light is flashing
I cant get a page which searches for wireless points
The first page under settings says network setting
the setup page says there is ni ip address
Is my best option to buy another usb wirelss adapter, this is a huge adapter anyway
Im just trying to update firmware, I have 1 01 12
have downloaded file to usb stick but no idea how make it update or if worth it

You should have 1.02.21 firmware for the Live.

Unzip the 3 frimware files to the root of a USB stick - make sure there are no other files.
Put USB stick into WDTV USB port.
Firmware upgrade icon should appear on the WDTV.
Press the button and hope for the best. There are some long winded reboots.
