Configure to RAID 1 first or format for Windows first on a new G Raid

I have a new G RAID Removable. I want to use it with Windows 10 PC in RAID 1 via eSATA.
Should I configure it for Raid 1 first and then format it for Windows?
Are there issues with using eSata rather than USB2 or Firewire?

Yes, convert it with our configurator software, then you can see the drive in your Disk Management on Windows and format it.

There are no issues with eSATA.
