Config file for alternative flash upgrade for MyBook Pro II

Dear Sirs,

after WD official upgrade app destroyed my MyBook I managed to recover it using Oxford Semiconductor Uploader. I know this is not a supported procedure but I didn’t want to through it away as my disk is out of warranty. When flashing with the .bin file I used a config file that must have changed some property as now the disk is not recognized by the raid manager. Besides, USB is not working. Just Firewire (??).

I wonder if some nice person here can send my a valid configX.txt file with the properties for my disk (my MyBook Pro II has UF924DS chipset so I used UF924DS_release.bin file in the official WD upgrader, WD_MB_Pro_II_0108a_1_02.dmg,

which lacks this config file).

By the way, I’ve replaced disks with 2TB ones as one of my old 1 TB died and could not find a replacement Caviar green for it. I only see about 1.7 TB. This controller is not able to allocate all 2TB space even after flash upgrade?

Thanks for your help,

Ignacio

Update: I managed to make the My Book Pro II be recognized by RAID soft for Mac and Windows thanks to procedure explained at  http://do0g.blogspot.com.es/2008/03/how-to-recover-from-failed-mybook.html

(Using last firmware with a previous version configuration text file and Oxford firmware upgrader)

Everything is working fine and I have 1.8 TB recognized OK (2 HDs in RAID 1) BUT… no USB. For some reason the configuration parameters for USB are not valid for the Pro II, so If someone with a Pro II drive can paste here those properties…
