Component Cable - Sound problem

Recently bought WDTV HD Media Player (The cute little wallet size device)…

I fixed my compnent cable(Y Gb Gr) and made the output resolution to 1080i. The picture is perfect in this setting but there is no sound. When i change the cable to VGA then i get both picture and sound, but in this case the picture quality is not the same…

please help what do i do to get the sound through component cable…

The WDTV HD doesn’t have component output.   I think you mean the MINI?

At any rate, the COMPONENT cable requires that you also use either TOSLINK or COMPOSITE cable for the audio.

If you’re using TOSLINK, set the mode to DIGITAL.   If you’re using COMPOSITE, set the audio mode to STEREO.
