Two My Passport Wireless Pro drives. The first one died after being turned on for the second time - so it wasn’t even used at all. Got a replacement from my retailer. Second unit DOA. It will not boot up. It will not broadcast a wifi signal. It will not mount on my computer when plugged in via the USB 3 cable. It will not show up in the WD Drive Utilities program. The wifi LED just keeps blinking slowly, then after 30 seconds all the LEDs flash quickly. NEVER AGAIN WD. Complete junk!
Thanks for your comments…after seeing yours and all the other people’s comments, I will buy another brand.
AND after the fiasco with the password requirements for a simple forum, I want to have nothing to do with WD.
Even after firmware upgrade to 1.07.02 WiFi is not working anymore
I would say never again WD Passport Wireless unless they fix the WiFi problem.
