CNID DB Error

Each time I mount the drive I get a an error saying that something is wrong with the CNID DB and it is switching to the temporary instead, switching to read-only mode.  Any ideas of how to fix this?

There is a post a little down the list that may help: ‘‘Remedy’ for MAC CNID and TM problem!’ (more or less get rid of the ‘.AppleDB’ files in the shares).
