I have a number of (very large) files which are listed in "Files Not Backed Up in Smartware. Surely, there must be some way to clear the list?
@DrDRM
Have you looked to see where these files are located on your computer? I know I have had this problem and found the files. After finding them try to drag and drop them to where you are backing them up to. I know I have made post on this in the past. You may want to do a search and see if you can find information/topics on this. Below is one topic, what does SmartWare show as for the progress of your backup?
SmartWare not backing up everything - My Cloud OS 3 Personal Cloud Storage / My Cloud - WD Community
SmartWare is End of Service, no longer used. My plans are to use it again with my 1st generation My Cloud when it goes off line and is only used on my local network.
Thanks. Actually my problem is not that these files are not backed up, but that I do not want them to be backed up, so I want to erase them from the list, but have found no way to do this.
However, as I have now discovered that SmartWare was replaced by WD Backup, and that support for WD Backup has also been discontinued, I guess the problem has become moot. I don’t understand why WD did not inform all its clients of this situation in a clear fashion.
I liked the continuous backup feature of SmartWare, but in the circumstances, I shall un-install it and simply use Acronis, for which I have a license.
