Clear Background in png files

Hi

How to you save png files from PS to dispaly a “Clear” non coloured background?

Mine have clear backgrounds in PS but when added to the hub they are white?

Any help much appriciated.

I assume with PS you mean Adobe Photoshop.

(Abbreviating without explaining the first time you use an abbreviation is a bad habit BTW (by the way).

Make sure you save as PNG-24 and be sure to check “transparency” in the save file dialog.

Silly thing is, at least in the version I’m using, that the "transparency"checkbox is only shown when I use the “Save for Web & Devices…” dialog.

One other thing: a PS background layer can not have transparency. When you use the “Flatten image” command, the result will be a single layer image, with that single layer being a background layer, and what was transparent will be white now. So best not to use that…
