Circut Board burn out

I accidently plugged my laptop power cord into my external hard drive and now it doesn’t work anymore.  When I plugged in the right power cord the circut board got hot and I immediately unplugged it.  There’s no clicking sound at all, can I buy a matching circut board for this hard drive?  It’s a:

MDL - WD500AAKB-00UKA0 WD Caviar SE 16

WD doesn’t sell the boards separate. You’d have to find a match on Ebay. Check the posts by fzabkar he has helped several people fix this problem. There is a diode that is burned and can be removed and by passed. He just helped someone in the past week or two.
