I haven’t purchased the WD My Passport Wireless yet but was wondering since I will be taking pictures with my smart phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) and will have it with me all the time if there would be a way to use a cable to connect the two units together to verify that the photos were downloaded.

I don’t think the drive will load on a smartphone.
