Charging My Passport Wireless Pro

I want to cut down on the number of chargers that I take on a trip.

The supplied charger for the WD My Passport Wireless Pro has an output of 5.1V 2.4A. The Apple iPad charger has an output of 5.2V 2.4A. Can I use the iPad charger with the WD My Passport Wireless Pro?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, but you need each devices’s appropriate cable, because the input tip is different for each.

Another idea: I have a “smart” ANKER 5-port charger that is about 5V and adjusts the current out for whatever is connected to it, be it iPad, iPhone or MPW, etc. The problem is we often need to charge more than one device at same time, and the Anker gets the job done.

Check Anker website for the current models, and if you want to buy one there are links to Amazon.

Thank you. I will also look at that multi-charger.

Yes. . . and I often use my laptop as a multiport USB charger as well; It helps for those overseas trips where I want to have carryon’s only. . . and am REALLY limited on the amount of kit I can bring.

Although computer USB ports are 5v out, they usually output less than 2 amps making for slow charge times…
