When I type wdmycloud/ into my browser and look at the drop-down menu in the upper right corner, the icon of the person, it lists another user when it says “Welcome, (user)”. How do I change this? This same user also has the check mark next to their name in the Users tab of the UI.
You need to read the User Manual. The below link is for Version 4.X.

Note: If you entered your name when you created your personal cloud, your name rather than “admin” is listed first. The admin account has a check mark beside its name.
I did a System Only restore - I had a lot of “stuff” I wanted to clear out (like 13 cloud devices - not sure how I got so many). I had to redo WD Sync on all of my computers, and also set up my driving mappings in Windows Explorer again, but now it is working well.
When I went into the UI page, it asked me to log in. There’s now a “Log Out” button in the upper right drop down menu that wasn’t there before. Not sure why, or what changed, but now it is working fine. (it was still working fine before, just bothered me that it didn’t say my name!)
