Changing RAID Mode

I current have Raid 1 active with 2 5TB drives. I am interested in changing it to Spanning mode (i.e. expanding total capacity available to 10TB). Is there a way to do it without erasing the drives?

As noted in the unit’s user manual, page 83 (88):

Changes made to your RAID Mode will delete all of your data and your user settings.
