Change or delete the default folder "WD Sync"

Dear community,

unfortunately I clouldn’t find any hint concerning my issue in the forum, so I’ve to get back to you by a new threat - sorry for that!

Is there any possibility to get rid of the default syncing folder “WD Sync”, wich is generated upon the initial setup of the My Cloud NAS automatically? The WD Sync App doesn’t give you the option to delete the folder and if you delete the shared folder on the NAS, the local folder on my computer (in my case “My Cloud-MyCloudPR2100”) is just regenerated again. Same thing happens if you rename the local folder.

I’d be happy if someone could help me with that issue.

Best regards,

Barto

Hi,

It seems the WD Sync application is re-creating the WD Sync folders. Try uninstalling WD Sync and then delete the WD Sync shared folder from the dashboard and the local WD Sync folder, so they shouldn’t re-appear.
