 My method is to use a FILE browser (not Internet Explorer) …

… Or the WD Desktop apps; unless you need remote access, just map the drive into your computer’s file system, and control it via the web-based Dashboard. I have no WD apps installed on my machine.

I’m not sure why WD can’t get a certificate issued for their s/w.
