Censorship!

What is the deal with new censorship here??? Everything’s getting bleeped out? It’s not any swearing or bad words, but we as a community are trying to support other members, but apparently, all our messages are being censored! Remove this nonsense and stop controlling our posts like that. It’s a shame WD is using such tactics now. 

It was your fault for releasing a bad f/w and now when users are trying to get things working, you are trying hard to censor our posts! Ridiculous!!!

Nice with a positive response.

It’s not only just words but complete parts of  a sentence are being bleeped.  I’ve never seen anything like this.  It’s really annoying.

Maybe the guy that wrote the WDTV Live firmware also wrote the forum software!

Keep in mind that the forum is brand new and there’s bound to be bugs like this until everything gets flushed out. Like any product, theres a limit to how much testing can be done in house. Sometimes issues occur that you just don’t see until it’s in the hands of the public.

Hope there isn’t any crazy censorship going on here.

Users need as much help as they can get, unless the comments are not in good taste/ or helpful.

Since, we’re on the topic it would be nice to see more WD Staffers putting up fixes to issues.

More than likely, WD is aware of most or any bugs with their devices. So, it would only be super helpful to be able to come to the forums and see answers ready and waiting for consumers experiencing these bugs.

Examples:

Initially the iTunes server isn’t working on MyBookWorld Editions so it throws a non-helpful error instead of saying contact the administrator and make sure iTunes is enabled on the network storage device. Little stuff like that.

On a more positive note, it is good to see the COMMUNITY helping itself.
