Caviar SATA 6.0

On a new Asus Motherboard I have installed a 1TB Caviar Black SATA  6.0 Gb/s Hard Drive.
The motherboard has a SATA 6.0 connection and Marvell 6.0 controller.

What benefits can I expect from this SATA 6.0 drive compared to a SATA 3.0 drive?
A technical friend tells me no addition benefits at all beyond SATA 3.0  because no current SATA drives  today make any use of SATA 6.0 even though labeled as such.

sata 6.0 its only marketing lable and using new tecnology that is not necessary and yu will pay more for none valid reason
