Just got a new WD20EARX and dropped it into my system. Opened Windows Explorer, but the drive was nowhere to be seen.
Tried different power and SATA connections (both of which are known as working) and still got nothing. Dropped the drive into an external enclosure and connected it via USB 2.0 on two different computers (my desktop and a Vista laptop) I got the same little message popup on each machine that said device drivers were being installed, then the message saying the device was ready to use. Checked Windows Explorer and the same thing happened; the drive isn’t being recognized.
