Can't write to USB on Mac OSX Lion - "An unexpected error occurred"

I recently upgraded to Mac OS Lion (and the new MBW firmwares), and since doing so, haven’t been able to write to my external USB drive on my MyBook World (White Light). 

I get the following error:

The operation can’t be completed.
An unexpected error occurred (error code -50).

If I try to write to the drive over the smb protocol everything works fine, but extremely slowly. The external USB drive is a 2tb WD Elements formatted with NTFS. My MBW firmware is 01.02.12 with MioNet 4.3.1.13. I get the exact same error on my fiance’s machine, and never had any problems under Snow Leopard.

I’ve done plenty of Google searches, and can’t seem to find anyone with this same problem. Hopefully someone here can help?
