I try to copy files to the passport 1TB drive using windows explorer and i get the error message saying the disk is write-protected. When I run the Smartware program and type in my password and then go to Explorer, I can now copy files. Why is this?
Also, the documentation states that the files are secure, but I can go using explorer and view them and copy them. so whats the point of a password? Unless there’s somewhere else I have to select encrypt ? It all seems pointless how it works now. My files are not protected at all from prying eyes !
