Can't write anything on Mac

Hello, I just bought recently the WD Elements Elements 1TB. I’m using it for movies and school. At home I’m running Windows, but at school they have Mac’s. On my Windows I can do anything, but the Mac can only read it, it can’t write anything on the drive. What can I do to make it work on Windows & Mac? Thanks.

Hello,

Well the drive could be either Fat32 or NTFS formatted, you need to format your drive to a Mac computer compatible file system or download a software that makes the Mac to read the Windows file system.

There is one problem with FAT32 the max file size is 4 gig. If you can get the drive formatted for Mac something like this http://www.catacombae.org/hfsx.html  will allow Windows access to the drive.

The problem is I only can format to exFAT or NTFS. I tried exFAT but it doesn’t recognize the HD.
