I went through the entire process of retrieving some files and created a new destination folder for but when I open that folder is empty? When I WD SmartWare to retrieve the file again it tells me they already there? I’ve tried re-starting my browser but it still shows as a blank folder?
I’m running on Windows 7 professional with service pack one
The file reads as zero data when I look at the properties in a Explorer window. But when I tried to restore the files again I get the following overwrite request?
There’s almost 400 GB of disk space and the missing data is listed as 9.85MB
Open up your SmartWare and click on the Help tab then scroll down to the bottom, or click on On-screen icons, where you will see a gold key, similar to what is showing in your image. It appears that you need to upgrade to SmartWare Pro for the retrieve to work.
I just had the same problem myself. It seems like it is still sending the retrieved files to the default retrieve folder on the C drive. It will not retrieve the files to the folder of my choosing. I found my files in C:\Users"yourUserName"\Documents\Retrieved Contents. Hope that helps.
