I purchased an external drive to back up my pictures and music in case my old computer clunked out. The computer has now completely shot craps and I have now replaced it. Whenever I attempt to copy the files from my drive to the new computer a file is created " copy of WD sync" with today’s date. Inside the file are all the folders I expect to see are there but they are empty. Is all the information gone? The old computer might have been FAT32 and the new NTFS. Could this be the problem, and if so how do you fix it???
You were probably confusing the sync software with backup software
backup would have kept a copy sync does exactly as the name sync so if your pc is empty so is the drive
