Can't read files from My BooK

Software programs can’t read the files on the MyBook attached to my computer. I can open folders and see the files but when I double click on the files the message that comes up from the software trying to opn CAN’T FIND the file. 700 GB of data and I can’t read the files.

PLEASE HELP.

The drive is probably corrupt something like EaseUS Partition Recovery http://www.ptdd.com/  or TestDisk http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk might fix it.

Thanks but…EAUS sees the drive but nothing else - no files found. Testdisk versions do not support Windows 7 OS. Any additional thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I would like to recover the data. It is really diappointing to have files on a back up drive that can’t be accessed.

Appreciate any assistance…
