Can't open My Passport Ultra (1 TB)

If I double-click the icon in my Windows 8.1 File Explorer, I get the following error message:

Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (D:)

Huh? Any advice?

Thanks, I tried the procedure starting with safe ejection 3 times over, but the problem is not solved :frowning:

To clarify, I do see the drive icon in File Explorer, but when I double-click the drive icon, I get the strange error message asking for a disk to be inserted.

Any further ideas?
