Can't get the backup and retrieve tabs to work in WD Smatrware

OMG! Frustrated! Have been mucking around for ages trying go get past the home tab ( can see list of PC) and settings tab. Can anyone suggest how to access the backup and retrieve tabs?

Would really appreicate assistance!!!

When you get t the screen where your tabs are grayed out simply click on the picture of the external hard drive and that should bring the tabs up.
