I can’t get my HP laptop to recognize my WD Passport 070A, it wants me to reformat it, but I have over 400GB used and my other laptop opens the files on it just fine. Can someone please help me.
Check Disk Management to see if the drive is recognized there. If it has a black bar going across the top on the right side where it shows your drive, then you most likely have corrupted files or the partition. You may want to look for a data recovery utility that can restore partitions.
