Just bought a Wireless My Passport. Tried to connect wirelessly with my Windows laptop but I was asked for a “Network Key”. The manual doesn’t mention being asked for one and I can’t find one on the device. I tried to connect with my Android phone but I was asked for a “password”. The manual doesn’t mention this step and I have no idea what to enter.
Can anyone help.
P.S. I tried calling the 00800… numbers (in the UK) listed as “support” but nothing happened!
Out of the box, the MPW has NO password assigned.
Just curious; are you sure you bought a brand new unit, not a return?
Anyway, check the manual for how to reset the MPW back to factory defaults.
