Can't delete photos from My Book World attached to router

Trying to delete photos to free up space on my book world attached to network by cable via router and it won’t let me.

Can’t remember if this was possible before I connected a bt smart hub just recently. Could this be the issue? Could it be a windows issue?

I’m at a loss.

If anyone can help me with simple instructions I would be very grateful.

Can you add new files to the exact same folders that prevent you from deleting pictures? If so then you are experiencing a problem with permissions and credentials. Try accessing the unit’s admin page and changing the permissions of said share to Public.

If you can add files but you can not delete them then your unit could be corrupted.
