I am trying to move my backup folder (WD Backup.swstor) from a 2TB My Passport to a 4TB My Passport. However, I encounter an error message stating that the WD Backup created filenames are too long and can’t be copied/moved. The exact message is “The source file name(s) are larger than is supported by the file system”. I’m dropping the folder into the Root directory of the 4TB drive so I’m not adding length to the file names.
Is there a way to copy/move the WD Backup.swstor folder from one drive to another? Easily?

This is actually not a issue but a limitation of the Operating System. Microsoft has allowed file path limit only 260 characters. in order to increase the limit, follow the instructions below:
1.Open the Start menu and type “regedit.” Launch the application.
2.Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
3.Right-click the value “LongPathsEnabled” and select Modify.
4.Change “Value data” from 0 to 1.
5.Click OK
