Can't add files or new folders to new external 2TB hard drive

Pops up on my computer but won’t allow me to add files, a new folder or even re-name it!

Hi,

If the unit is not allowing you to do anything with it, it might be on read only.

If is a new unit as you said, you can try reformating the unit from the disk utility or disk management depending on the computer that you have.
